Henry Cuir defies modern principles of fast fashion, choosing instead to stand by its passion for a deliberate handcrafted process. The artisan label produces finely crafted leather bags, leather jackets, accessories and furniture buffed with an earthy sheen. All Henry Cuir products are still made by hand at its factory in Vigevano, Italy, by a team of skilled artisans from vegetable-dyed animal skins. Consistently being highlighted as one of the most original retail concepts in Southeast Asia and some say, the world, WDSG is a store with real indie cred. Founded by Ken Suen, WDSG is the retail extension of branding agency Wudai Shiguo and is modelled after the prohibition era American speakeasies back in the day. Polished wood floorings and vintage memorabilla form the backdrop for a collection of vintage furniture reproductions, most of which are manufactured in India from reclaimed materials. Apparel from LA-based label Mister Freedom and the Americana-inspired clothing from Ralph Lauren Leather add some element of authenticity to the cultural trip.
