Then, on the weekend, Makula got a very special treat. He went to visit the Rocky Mountains. He visited the Continental Divide and the town of Ouray, which is named after a famous Native American chief.

Makulu also got to spend the evening with new friends having sleepovers and telling the story over and over again about how rhinos are being poached. The students were very glad to have him visit their homes.



While at school, students participated in a variety of activities to bring an awareness to the Rhino plight, including making posters and a video.
